Description
Identify opportunities to support children in early childhood programs who were born with or were later diagnosed with physical, emotional, or mental challenges. Incorporate care for young children as they utilize various forms of assistive technology and engage with specialist who may provide direct services to children in the classroom setting.
Objectives
Upon completion of this educational experience, the learners will:
- Define terms that relate to educating children with special needs.
- Discuss teaching techniques for children with speech and language techniques.
- Discuss the value of Assistive Technology.
- Give examples of program activities that meet the individual needs of all children, including those with special needs.
