in the educational environment in detecting clues that may indicate that
children are being abused, neglected, or maltreated.
Objectives
After completing this class, participants will:
- Define child abuse (physical, sexual), including emotional maltreatment and neglect
- Identify signs and symptoms (evidence) of child abuse
- Know the mandated reporting requirements for child care providers
- Develop a plan of action for reporting suspected cases of child abuse
